The Significant Religious Influences Survey 1 states that over 250,000 Christian teens who had a strong faith were asked what were the things that influenced them to have the life impacting faith they have. The answers were quite revealing:

• The #1 reason why kids have faith? Mom
• The #2 reason why kids have faith? Dad

Mom and dad are two to three times more influential than any church program! What, then, is the role of the church?

Faith @ Home is our initiative to empower and equip parents to bring their children up in the ways of the Lord. We hold a Parent/child workshop during Kids Church once a year where parents and children come together and learn a faith skill that can can continue being practiced & developed at home. In this way, parents are equipped to model and practice living out their faith with their children all week long. At Kids Church, we do what we can with the hour we have with your children on a Sunday, but we believe you as the parents have a far greater influence in the life of your child than we will ever have. This is a strategically important event to attend with your child, and for this reason we strongly encourage and recommend both parents with children to attend these events. We MUST start with family ministry if we want to raise up a generation to run further in God than the generation before them.
